Off da WALL

Afternoon friends! You know what I am going to say, right? I know- I am so transparent…

TGIAF!!!

I apologize in advance for the absolute randomness that is about to ensue. Bear with me.

I think I have mentioned before that I am the worlds worst baker. Sure I can throw together dinners with no recipe and just a glimmer of an idea in my head, no probs. But follow a basic recipe for cookies? Well, we all saw how that one turned out.

So what’s a baking-challenged gal to do? ENTER Niki & her 5 minute fancified Oreos. Peeps, check out how EASY, GORGEOUS and delicious these things are…even I couldn’t mess it up!

Step one. Buy fudge covered oreos, strawberries, chocolate chips and fruit flavored cream cheese.

Step two. Melt some chocolate chips. Cover oreos with cream cheese, half of a strawberry, and drizzles of melted chocolate.

Step three. Look like an amazing baking pro to your friends and family.DSCN2422DSCN2427DSCN2442

THANK YOU Niki!!!

Ok next item on the agenda- SHOES!!!

  DSCN2473

Have you guys heard of ShoeDazzle? From the website-

how it works

  • 1Take our Fashion Survey:
It only takes a few minutes for us to get to know your style.
  • 2 Our stylists pick 5 shoes for you:
Based on your survey results, our fashion experts provide you with a choice of 5 fashionable shoes each month.
  • 3 Choose the pair you want:
We provide free shipping*. If you are unsatisfied with your shoes, simply return them to us using the pre-printed return shipping label provided with your order.

EVERY single pair of shoes on the site cost $39. And if you are into really cute shoes…you know that’s a steal. So, since you can never have too many shoes..TJ- EAR MUFFS…..I signed up ! What hooked me is the fact that if you don’t like any of the selected shoes for a given month, you just click SKIP and you don’t have to buy anything! Oh and did I mention that the founder of the company is Kim Kardashian. Love.

I got my first pair yesterday!! So excited. I picked out a pair of brown flats for work. I was extremely impressed with the packaging and the details the company covered. As you can see, the box is not only super cute, but very heavy duty so I can actually STORE shoes in it. So many shoe boxes these days are flimsy and last .5 seconds.

It also came with an extremely nice dust bag for the shoes.

Now, the shoes themselves…here is the picture online-

And the real deal-

Sorry for the blurry pic :( ANYWHO- Verdict on the shoes-

They fit WONDERFULLY. They were super cute, comfortable, and perfect for work! I am soo so happy with my first ShoeDazzle experience & cant WAIT to see what shoes they pick out for me next month.

Check them out online!

1 egg

1/4 cup milk

2. First, dip chicken in egg mixture. Next, dredge chicken through breadcrumbs. Repeat. Place chicken on baking sheet & bake 30-40 minutes, depending on how large your breasts are (thats what he said?? Sorry I had to.)

Served with steamed broccoli, roasted garlic bread and some chicken/broccoli noodles that were dying in the pantry. And, of course, additional hot sauce :) SOO yummy!

You can definitely use boneless skinless chicken, but reduce your baking time- probably to 15 or 20 minutes..I MUCH prefer bone in for baking- you would not believe how juicy these bad boys turned out.

Ok, blog friends, last item up for discussion- after work today I am going to see Mrs. Niki to get my hurrrr done. We have already decided on a new cut/style that I am supaaa excited about, but I can’t decide what to do color-wise! So I need your advice.

Blonde or brunette?

FYI- I VERY rarely just smile in pictures.

SO help a sista out! What do you think?

  1. Pretty cookies, I love them!! The shoes look supercute too, definitely didn’t even know that website existed? I think if I purchased one more pair of shoes thought the man might have me committed somewhere haha, they are already taking up 2 closets gahhH!!!!

  2. Love the cookie idea!

    Thanks for the shoe website!!!!

  3. Food porn alert. Yum!

Hmmm I think brown is fun for the winter because blonde always looks better with a summer glow :) But I’m not the best to give advice seeing as I’ve never dyed my hair before!

  4. Those cookies look so pretty!!! They would be great for a Valentine’s Day treat too!

I am definitely a cooker and not a baker too…but I’m thinking about making some sort of New Year’s resolution to try and become a better baker? I don’t know though…that could be an easy recipe for gaining 10 pounds!

Your hair looks really pretty with both colors– you’re lucky that you can “swing both ways.” Errr, you know what I mean.

I think I like the brunette better, but that could very well be simply because I have brown hair! I’m excited to see what you end up deciding to do! I never change my hair, so I have to live vicariously through others who are more adventurous than me :-)

  5. I’ve never heard of shoedazzle but now I have to check it out!

  6. Wooo those strawberrie cookies look off da hook! And the shoes are cute, cute. I am in dire need of some new flats, so I’m gonna have to check it out. Yey for new shoes!

As for the hair, I like the blonde!

  7. Gorgeous pink cookies!! Both hair colors look great on you. I think I like the blonde but brown might be better for winter. Hmm,..I will have to battle the blonde/brown dilemma very soon too! Do a before and after shot!
    Katie

  8. ahh – LOVE those shoes!! I have major shoe envy right now…everywhere I look!

I am a (highlighted) blonde, so I might be biased. :-) But sometimes I will get lowlights in the winter, and come spring, get full blonde highlights again. Shakes things up a little!

  9. I just came home to my first pair of ShoeDazzles on the front porch! I am so excited – they’re CUTE (and are a perfect fit)! Thanks for the great tip Sarah – can’t wait to see what my personal shoe shopper picks out for me next month!
